Luckeep M5 Ultra E-Bike Review: Dual Motors, Dual Batteries and Dual Fun!
If you have watched the world of high e-round, you will probably notice the boundaries between the electronic wheel and the light electric motorcycle every year. The Luckeep M5 Ultra is one of those machines sitting directly on this diving line: an electric bike inspired by a full suspension motorcycle, two large hub engines and speed and range, which made your average commute to E-Bike red. I tested the bike to see what it is like in the real world and let me tell you … this thing is an animal!

Built as a tank
The Ultra M5 Ultra comes to 95 lb (43 kg), so we don’t become a feather pedal machine. It is built of an aluminum alloy 6061 aluminum, with a stable setting of full conviction included in the hydraulic fork at the front and rear at the rear. Between the frame and the suspension they feel more like a small dirty bike than a bike.
Certainly the tanks are more like fake tanks, but suspensions still look impressive and drive almost as impressive as it releases.
Yet it is standard bike -bike hardware that can be considered positive or negative. You get a Shimano 7-speed tournament transmission with a trigger, which means you can still pedal when you want, and 20 × 4 inches’ tires provide decent traction on both the sidewalk and dirt. I wouldn’t want to pedal this thing on a hill without motor assistance, but it’s good to know that you are not locked only on the ride on the cut.
In the above video you can see my pedal testing, and although this thing can be tread, it is much easier to ride on the starch. You get me wrong, I love pedaling e-round. But this is not just set up for it. The bench seat is not adjustable and pedaling feels like the last option.

Dual engines = serious force
The heart of this bike is its double word: two 1 500 W of the top split engines (total peak of 3,000 W), which draw the required torque of 240 Nm. In practice, this is reflected in the effortlessness of acceleration, even on steep hills or on free surfaces. I test it on the sidewalks and on dirty trails and it pulled hard in both boxes.
The highest speed is at 32 mph (52 km/h), which is in the US beyond the statutory limit of E-E-E-CHARCE 3. So say it is not a switch of class 2 or class 3. If your local regulations allow it, it is an explosion that runs at full tilt. Remember, however, that on public roads in many countries it will be in moped and may be required by registering as a moped. Fortunately, there is a platform hanger to help you move the apartment license if you should reach this step.

Battery for days
With dual batteries 52V 20Ah (for combined 2.080 Wh), the M5 Ultra promised up to 160 miles (258 km) of the range. This is an optimistic character and based on data about shorter rides consumption, I would bet that the real world number will be 60-70 miles closer with a slight use of throttle and pedal assistance. However, if you drive at full speed on the throttle, you can get a quarter of the advertised range.
Yet it is a huge love of extent compared to most electronic wheels, when one at such speeds, which is running thanks to 2 kWh battery capacity, which is three times the average e-bike capacity.
Charging batteries with a charge includes about 6 hours. For a system that is big, I would like to see dual loaders to shorten this time further. From the race, most people find that their charging times less than this number, because you rarely come home empty, but dual chargers would appreciate the charging speed.


Experienced experience
On the road, the bike feels like a small motorcycle. Hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors do a good job when pulling the wheel down from speed, which is important that you treat with an almost 100-LiBR machine capable of refilling 30 mph. Complete suspension makes the road ride much more manager and sucks bompets that would otherwise rattle you on pieces on hardtail with an e-bold tire.
The saddle is advertised as foam and “leather”, although I think any vegan in the room will be happy to hear? The skin could be a great function (hey, I’m just a vegetarian, I can still sit on them), but there is no way the craft is at this level.
Included lighting system (with signals and brake lights) contributes to vibration of motorcycles and causes the bike to be safer in operation, especially Singe I see that many people will be more like a mini moto and take a stripe, so signaling is even more important. I still tend to use hand signals on e-wheels, even though I have real swivel signals, because I think you think everyone is looking for such signals on something like that. Damn, most people are not looking for signals at all, but a guy who drives with his hand watering directly to the left and in a way that seems to prevent your way to go through it is the merciful clear news.
Among the ankles is also this funny small basket under the saddle. I think there was a room for a real bottle holder mounted vertically, so at least you can throw a bottle of water in the basket!

Not for all
Let’s be real: this bike is not for your occasional commuting or someone who will try to play light electronic bikes up the stairs to the apartment. For nearly £ 100, it is difficult to move around and you will need space to store it (even if adding the handle in the back of the seat will definitely make the bike bike around the garage or parking space).
It is also a way outside the legal definition of electronic bike in many places, so depending on where you live, you can come across immense in you, ride bikes in lanes or shared use. This means that for riders who want motorcycle levels without actually buying a motorcycle, the M5 is an ultra -tempting option.

The last thoughts
The Luckeep M5 Ultra is one of those wheels that blurring the boundary between categories. It is sold as an electronic wheels that can technically cosplay, as in limiting its speed to a legal level. But with dual engines, double batteries and a maximum speed of 32 mph it’s more like an electric moped.
For riders who want maximum strength and reach, he sets out in the pikes. Setting a double battery means that you can go much further than on a typical electronic pound with grease and suspension components and braking feels until the task of manipulating speed and weight.
However, compromises are clear: it is difficult, not particularly practical as a pedal wheel and neatly does not fit into the legal framework of electronic round classes in the US. This means that it is best suited for private land, field use or area where underwear is lax.
If you buy light commuters, it is not. But if you want something that feels like a small motorcycle and still gives you the possibility of the pedal, the Luckeep M5 Ultra can only be the machine you are looking for.
